Rob Oldenburg
I grew up in the northern suburbs of Chicago, and then followed an unconventional career path from Computer Science at Miami University (Ohio) to management at an Interior Design company in Florida and then coming back to Illinois; providing flood, fire, and mold restoration services as a general manager. Leaving the chaos of restoration work, I joined a custom home builder bringing grand and creative dreams to reality. I have done everything from writing code to swinging hammers, and I have taken lessons from all those disparate experiences. I look forward to bringing that open mind and varied background to our client’s homes here at FBC!
What Does Build Joy Mean to you?
My father owned a construction company until I was 11 when he suddenly passed away. However, in that short time I did witness the quality of work and care for the clients that his team performed. It was so impressive, that 30 years later I was repairing a house fire and based on my last name the home owner remembered that my father remodeled his house when the owner was in his early teens. Building Joy for me is making a quality impression for someone that can literally last generations.
