Maddie Draper
I grew up in Evergreen, Colorado, loving mountains, warm summers, snowy winters, and constantly rearranging my bedroom! I began my career studying Graphic Design at Colorado State University and found a broader love for the arts and making. I earned a BFA with concentrations in Graphic Design and Fiber Art. I freelanced in graphic design for several years before exploring other career paths and finding something that just clicked.
I’ve always enjoyed treasure hunting in thrift shops and antique stores. I began to refurbish and resell my finds from our small garage. This work uncovered a love of interiors, which I had always seen as a hobby, not a viable career path. I went back to school for Interior Design and never looked back!
I have always loved designing interiors that help people love and feel comfortable in their spaces. I am passionate about designing spaces that are as functional as they are beautiful. A home should support the lifestyle that its inhabitants aspire to live while also incorporating their tastes and stylistic preferences.
What does Building Joy Mean to you?
To me, building joy is simply a bi-product of excellent design that exceeds expectations and expands on what a client thought was possible for their space. Joy comes from getting to live in a space that makes living life easier, more effortless, and more beautiful.
