A QUOTE I LIVE BY
“We make a living by what we get, but we make a life by what we give.” – Winston Churchill
In 2021, I graduated from the Milwaukee Institute of Art & Design with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Interior Architecture & Design. As a Wisconsin native, I grew up in rural central Wisconsin in the deaf community as a CODA (Child of Deaf Adults). My background has given me a unique perspective in design and life. In my personal time I am an avid hiker, camper, and lover of all things outdoors. I spend my free time traveling and camping across the continental US and internationally with my partner. At home we have 2 rescue critters, our puppy Douglas, and 9 year old cat Rodger.
WHAT IS YOUR DESIGN PHILOSOPHY? OR WHERE DO YOU FIND DESIGN INSPIRATION?
Growing up in a home with American Sign Language and being rooted in nature has become an integral part of my design philosophy and inspiration in my design career. Growing up in the Midwest has given me an appreciation and love for the seasons and how they transform each life throughout the year. The same can be said about your home as you change, your home changes and transforms with the seasons of your life. Helping homeowners find how their home can work and inspire them is my passion. I draw inspiration from the colors and light in nature as well as how we inhabit space to create beautiful interiors to love for years to come.
