Interior Design Sales Leader

Job Responsibilities:

We are looking for someone who is enthusiastic about assisting our clients in obtaining their dream space by following our detailed design process and leading our team of designers to do the same. This role will best suit someone who is looking for the challenge of running their own business, but also enjoys opportunities to interact with and lead a growing team! This role will be two-fold as we develop our team by both designing for our clients and mentoring and coaching our designers as our design sales leader.

Interior Design Responsibilities:

  • Get to know the homeowner’s needs, design style and personal preferences during the first appointment in their space!
  • Complete design measures and as-builts prior to creating your custom designs.
  • Develop custom designs to wow our clients using our software, Chief Architect.
  • Walk clients through 3D and 2D noted plans.
  • Responsible for selling your very own projects as a result of using our process and building relationships with homeowners.
  • Trouble shoot any design issues during build out by proactively working with the estimator and project manager.

Design Sales Leader Responsibilities:

  • Accountable for hitting or exceeding budgeted sales goals
  • Develop and administer training and training materials for the Naperville team
  • Complete head checks (meetings) prior to all meetings with clients with each team member
  • Hold debriefs with each team member after all meetings to assist with strategy development
  • Oversee pipelines and metrics and coach each team member to hit their goals each quarter
  • Interact with the marketing department on lead quality
  • Manage all Naperville office lead generating events
  • Maintain a clean and presentable showroom environment for our clients
  • Conduct weekly one on ones and monthly progress reviews
  • Responsible for selling your very own projects as a result of using our process and building relationships with homeowners.
  • Assist clients in choosing hard finishes for their beautiful new space.
  • Trouble shoot any design issues during build out by proactively working with the estimator and project manager.

Position Requirements:

The successful candidate will possess the following:

  • 1 -2 years of successful sales experience required
  • Previous sales leadership experience preferred
  • A degree or certificate in architecture, space planning, and/or interior design
  • Experience in CAD, Revit or Chief Architect.
  • The desire to learn and execute the FBC design/sales process
  • Previous experience in a highly collaborative team environment with fixed deadlines
